The 2009
Make-A-Wish Raffle Car
has been purchased!

WOW! It's hard to believe
that the 6th annual
Northwest Motorfest has come and gone already.
We work almost 11 months out of the year on 'Motorfest, from booking the
stars, signing contracts, getting approval from the city and county, working
with the sponsors, the fairgrounds, insurance, the media and so on.
It's a daunting task to
pull all of this together for
3 days on the 4th weekend. It can not be done without the help, support and
the belief in the product from our RPM Productions staff. Our team of
volunteers are SIMPLY THE BEST!!!
They give of their time to make sure the event runs as
smoothly as possible. To each and everyone of them,
Patti and I say THANK YOU a thousand times over!!
Car count at this year's
'Motorfest was down about 15%
BUT some shows across the Northwest have experienced
as much as a 50% decline all due to the economy.
High gas prices, food expenses, lodging
expenses ... everything is going up which means
'Motorfest and other events will take a hit.
It is what it is. We are making arrangements
for next year to hopefully dodge this problem
or at the least, detune it as best as we can.
With every down, there's an
up. Car count was down but spectators were up. As much as 30%! That's just
an indicator
of the economy. Not as many families went out of town
this year. They decided to stay home and enjoy the
weekend and enjoy they did. We noticed many families
sticking around for 3 hours or more to take in everything.
We're back at it full bore
the first of August as we prepare
for the 7th annual Northwest Motorfest next year July 3, 4, 5.
We've already booked our headlining star(s) as we
celebrate a 35th anniversary of a great TV show!
Thank you very much for
being a part of it. Producing
Idaho's Largest Car Show is not an easy thing to do but your continued
support makes it happen and happen in grand style.
If you see us at a show ... come say 'HI!"
