The Make-A-Wish raffle car program made it's 'Motorfest
debut
in 2005 and has become a a very important fixture to the
event.
The raffle car promotes 'Motorfest ... 'Motorfest promotes
the raffle car.
It's a true Win/Win for everyone involved.
This program WOULD NOT be possible with out the love and
support
of Mark and Priscilla Plafcan and their company WESCHEM,
INC.
They supply the car every year so that we are able to give
100% of the money raised to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho
so they can grant wishes to children with life threatening
illnesses.
Since 2005, the Make-A-Wish raffle car program has raised
$158,300
That's enough money to grant at least 28
wishes!!! For every
person who has bought a ticket we say THANK YOU 10 times
over!!
Below is this
year's record breaking '72 Chevelle
AND the debut of the
2011 raffle car.
The '72 Chevelle is the most successful raffle car ... so
far.
We raised exactly $40,000. The reason for the exact
number is because only 8,000 ticket were ordered.
Every year there are unsold tickets that get thrown away.
So the decision was made to order just 8,000 tickets.
BOY, WERE WE WRONG!! We could have sold another
500+ tickets at 'Motorfest. You just never know!
